Program Overview
Endurance HQ Messaging Programs
Endurance HQ provides SMS and MMS messaging for platform notices and for event or organization senders identified in each message. Programs include event, participant, volunteer, purchase, safety, support, and other messages described when you enroll. Promotional messages require the separate consent applicable to that subject.
Types of messages we send:
- Race day reminders and packet pickup information
- Schedule changes and start time updates
- Course reroutes and weather alerts
- Volunteer shift reminders (24 hours and one hour before)
- Emergency and safety notifications
- Event cancellation or postponement notices
- Post-event results notifications
- Registration, purchase, transfer, waitlist, lottery, membership, donation, and account notices
- Two-way replies and organizer support
- Fundraising, sponsor, store, community, or promotional messages when the sender has the required separate consent
How You Enroll
Before a sender messages you, it must obtain the level of consent required for that sender and message subject. Enrollment may occur through an optional registration, volunteer, account, event-pass, text-in, or other clearly disclosed consent flow. Consent is not a condition of purchase, registration, or volunteering.
Consent Is Specific
- Consent applies only to the event, organization, or Endurance HQ program identified when you enroll
- Consent for informational messages does not automatically authorize promotional messages
- Consent cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or treated as blanket permission for unrelated senders or subjects
- The sender may ask you to confirm consent again if the sender, message subject, or expected use changes materially
Organizer-Added Numbers
An event organizer may import or add a phone number only when it has recipient-specific consent for the identified sender and message subject and can document how and when that consent was obtained. Prior participation, a business relationship, an emergency-contact entry, or possession of a phone number does not by itself authorize messaging.
Message Frequency & Rates
- Message frequency varies. It depends on the event, program, your activity, and whether you participate in a two-way conversation. Urgent circumstances may result in additional messages.
- Message and data rates may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan.
- Supported carriers: Major US carriers are supported. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to Opt Out
Text STOP to opt out at any time.
Reply STOP to withdraw consent from the sender or messaging program associated with that message. You may receive one confirmation. Depending on the sending number and event, a different event or organization sender may require a separate opt-out. Reply START or use the disclosed enrollment method if you later choose to re-enroll.
You may also use any SMS preference controls available for the relevant account, event pass, volunteer record, or organization. Changing an in-app preference may not affect a different sender or number.
Help & Support
Text HELP for assistance.
Reply HELP to any message from Endurance HQ for assistance. You can also contact us directly at tyler@endurancehq.app.
Privacy & Data Protection
We do not sell your mobile number or SMS consent, and we do not share them with third parties for those third parties' own marketing. We disclose them as needed to the identified sender, Endurance HQ, Twilio, participating carriers, and vendors that support message delivery, security, and compliance.
We use Twilio, a trusted communications platform, to deliver SMS messages. For full details on how we handle your personal information, see our Privacy Policy (Section 2.5: SMS/Text Messaging Communications).
For our complete SMS program terms, see our Terms of Service (Section 8.5: SMS Program Terms).
Organizer and Sender Obligations
If you use Endurance HQ to send SMS or MMS for an event or organization, you are the sender of those messages and agree to:
- Obtain and retain proof of recipient-specific consent before messaging
- Obtain prior express written consent where required for promotional or telemarketing content
- Accurately identify the sender and disclose the message subject, expected frequency, message and data rates, HELP, STOP, and links to applicable terms and privacy notices
- Never transfer consent from another event, organization, sender, or unrelated message subject
- Honor opt-outs promptly and keep imported, exported, and connected systems synchronized with suppression records
- Comply with applicable law, carrier requirements, Twilio policy, and the Endurance HQ Terms of Service
